Cutting-edge innovators, researchers and astute industry leaders have arrived on the Sunshine Coast to explore savvy solutions which drive improved business performance and address the world’s growing environmental problems.

Industry leaders are on the Coast for The National Clean Technologies Conference and Exhibition.

The two day event officially opens on May 30 at The Events Centre, Caloundra.

The exhibition will showcase 20 of the hottest clean tech companies and local businesses can attend and chat to exhibitors at no cost from 9.30-11.30am on Thursday and Friday.

Opening the conference is Bianca Dragomir, the European Commission’s ‘European Cluster Manager of the Year’ and Chief Executive Officer of The Valencian Cleantech Cluster (Avaesen) in Spain.

Bianca is one of 55 speakers who will take to the stage at the conference. She believes that, at the industry level, systemic innovation is needed for exponential change.

“Clusters play a crucial role. They are impact multipliers, brokers of innovation, smart investment boosters and engines of growth. They can catalyse change at speed and scale,” Bianca said.

“We need to co-create new business models and novel solutions that integrate a multiple need: business, research, investment and society at the same time.”

Businesses from Australia’s cleantech sector – energy, waste, water, built environment and transport – will find Bianca’s business acumen invaluable as she shares her insight on the global clean technology industry, and her strategies for growing a regional Sunshine Coast cluster.

There’s still time to take full advantage of the great networking opportunities and expertise on hand with tickets available on the door.
