The $1.8 billion Sunshine Coast Public University Hospital (SCPUH) will be Australia’s first major new hospital in more than 20 years and the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in this region.
The hospital will open with 450 beds in late 2016, growing to 738 beds by 2021. It will mean around 10,000 patients each year will not have to travel to Brisbane for complex treatment.
Council is working to maximise opportunities for locals to work on this project by providing information, training and education.
Further information is provided through The Work Shop and Works packages for businesses for work on the Sunshine Coast Public University Hospital is also released through the Sunshine Coast Business Gateway .
